My husband, Lance, and I moved to Langley in 1983 from Seattle with our two young children, because we thought Whidbey Island would be a good place to raise a family. We soon learned it is a GREAT place to raise a family. It is now fun to see many of my "kids" thirty-something classmates return to raise their families. I spent the next 20 years doing that along with becoming deeply rooted in the South Whidbey Community through the schools, social service organizations and volunteering with local non-profits.
In the meantime, I designed and we built two homes on the island, a log home and a straw bale house. We renovated 4 fixer-uppers and currently have 6 affordable rental units. We are currently carefully developing a new piece of raw land. In the process, I discovered that I love real estate: walking boundary lines and considering building sites and solar exposure, planning new construction and doing renovations, thinking about investments and cash flows, and mostly imagining turning a house into a home for someone. In 2004 I received my real estate license and was fortunate to begin work with Windermere Real Estate/South Whidbey.
In 2011 I earned the Certified Residential Specialist Designation held by only 3% of all Realtors.
This is also the first year I attained the #1 position in my South Whidbey Market for transactions completed.
If you are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working and detail oriented agent, I'm your gal. Windermere has provided me with the best training, state of the art technology and marketing opportunities unlike any other company. My clients find me a careful listener, a patient provider of quality customer service and a wholehearted advocate for their interests. As a full time, professional, real estate consultant, I will go the extra mile for you.
As Whidbey's first Certified EcoBroker, a designation for Realtors who care about the environment and promote responsible development, sustainable design and affordable housing, I can help my clients learn about and benefit from energy efficient and healthier options available today.
I feel so blessed to live on beautiful Whidbey Island and want to be a blessing in return. I have committed to let my listing clients choose from a list of local charities to receive a donation of 5% of my commission. I also give back through volunteering with Hearts and Hammers, Pregnancy Aid, Saratoga Community Housing, Calvary Chapel, Good Cheer Food Bank, South Whidbey Homeless Coalition and others.
Give me a call if I can help you with listing your home or buying your first or tenth property.
